These collage paintings are made using the many pairs of serrated scissors made for the crafts market. I use my own papers plus some specialty ones such as Asian joss papers and Thai silk tissues. Sometimes I make special papers for a big picture. I started this as a way of breaking myself of being too fussy at painting. Now I make really fussy collage. |

Mutton Mountains - this is a place on the Deschutes River in Oregon. The wild west that still is there in some remote corners. |

Silver River - another view of the Deschutes River looking across at the Warm Springs reservation. The surface of the water is made with silver joss paper cut into watery feathers. This place is popular with fishermen and white water rafters. |
