These fancy compositions are done in the manner of traditional Turkish floral marbled paintings. Naturally I do not do not constrain myself to traditional forms, but I learn from them. I use more than one layer of pattern if the picture needs more detail or interest. I also touch up the inevitable dust spots in the finished piece. Unfortunately there are many ways that one of these pictures is ruined before it is done. Air voids, streaks, wash off of the color are just a few. For this reason not many are perfect enough to frame. These are just a few of my favorites. |
